Matt Rund is a highly accomplished educator with 30 years of dedicated experience in education.  Matt  brings his passion for interdisciplinary learning to the classroom as a teacher of AP Human Geography, AP Seminar, and English 9 honors.

A strong advocate for student voice and critical inquiry, Matt specializes in designing innovative project-based learning (PBL) experiences. Through his integrated curriculum, he empowers students to delve into complex global issues, developing essential skills in rigorous research, evidence-based argumentation, and compelling presentation.

Beyond the core classroom, Matt's profound impact on student communication is further highlighted by his esteemed recognition as an Indiana Speech and Debate Coach Hall of Fame inductee in 2010. His extensive background in speech and debate infuses his teaching with a focus on clear articulation, persuasive rhetoric, and thoughtful engagement with diverse perspectives.

Matt is committed to equipping his students with the analytical tools to understand geographic patterns, the discerning eye to evaluate diverse sources, and the confidence to effectively communicate their findings, preparing them not just for higher education but for active and informed global citizenship. Matt lives in Fishers with his wife, Donna, and they have five children Trevin, Emma, Natalie, Maria and Karlee.
